Georgian, Armenian FMs meet in Yerevan

Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani met his Armenian incumbent counterpart Ara Aivazian in Yerevan during the official visit of Georgian PM Irakli Garibashvili to Armenia.

The two foreign ministers discussed bilateral relations and expressed willingness to intensify cooperation over different spheres. The sides accentuated the significance of trade relations and the development of infrastructure and transport projects.

Georgian and Armenian FMs spoke about the situation in the region. They touched upon security issues and the importance of establishing long-term peace in the South Caucasus through dialogue and negotiations.

Georgia expressed readiness to offer its capital Tbilisi as the dialogue platform to its partners in the South Caucasus.
