Georgian Ambassador to U.S. meets Congressman Keith Self
The Georgian Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the United States, Tamar Taliashvili, met with U.S. Congressman Keith Self, who represents the state of Texas and is the chairman of the Subcommittee on European Affairs of the House Foreign Affairs Committee. The Georgian Embassy in the United States reported in a Facebook post.
“Congressman Keith Self is a distinguished military veteran and also a member of the U.S. Congressional Veterans Affairs Committee.
Within the framework of the meeting, Georgian-American relations and prospects for future development were discussed. The Ambassador and the Congressman also spoke about the opportunities and challenges on the regional level and global scale.
The ambassador noted the congressman’s heartfelt remembrance of the notable Georgian, General John Malkhaz Shalikashvili,” the statement reads.
