The passport of Georgian citizen has  improved position by five places in the global ranking. According to the consulting company Henley & Partners, Georgia is ranked 48th in the Henley Passport Index.

According to the previous report, Georgia went to the 53rd position, more previously to the 68th place.

According to the data, citizens of Georgia can travel without visa or through simplified procedures to 112 countries.

Japan and Singapore are at the top of the list. Citizens of these countries can travel through simplified procedures to 189 countries. Germany was leading in the ranking in previous years.

Georgia’s passport has also improved its position according to data of another portal – passportindex.org, in which Georgia occupies the 40th place.
