Georgia was visited by a record-high number of international visitors in January 2020

Georgia was visited by a record-high number of international visitors and tourists in January 2020.  According to the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia,  visits by international travelers to Georgia exceeded 633 000 in January 2020 and got increased by 19.8% in contrast with the respective period of last year, while the number of visits by tourists increased by 18.9%

Number of international travelers coming from EU countries is growing. Countries stood out by growth in January: Italy by 133.1%; Poland by 82.9%; France by 46.8%; Lietuva by 43.7% and others.
