Georgia to sign free trade deal with S. Korea by 2025

Georgia plans to sign a free trade agreement with South Korea in 2025, as outlined in the government program submitted to parliament.

The program highlights ongoing efforts to expand access to foreign markets for local businesses through new free trade agreements.

According to the government, negotiations with South Korea have been successfully completed, and the agreement is set to be signed in 2025.

“Georgia plans to initiate negotiations for free trade agreements with several countries and regions to enhance market access for local businesses. Talks will be held with India and Israel to finalize agreements, while efforts to launch negotiations with the United States will continue at both political and technical levels.

Additionally, consultations with Gulf Cooperation Council member states will progress toward formal negotiations, and discussions for a free trade agreement with Serbia are also set to begin,” the government states.
