Georgia to face Faroe Islands in friendly match tonight
The Georgian national football team will play a friendly match against the Faroe Islands today at Dinamo Arena in Tbilisi.
The match will kick off at 8 p.m. The GPB’s First Channel will live broadcast the match.
Following the match against the Faroe Islands, veteran goalkeeper Giorgi Loria announced his retirement from the national team. The 39-year-old debuted in 2008 and earned 78 caps over a 17-year international career.
Georgia and the Faroe Islands previously met during the UEFA Euro 2008 qualifiers. Georgia won both matches: 6–0 away (August 16, 2006) and 3–1 at home (March 28, 2007).
