Georgia to be Invited Country of FINI 2021

The 10th International Image Festival FINI opened in Mexico on April 23. Georgia is the Invited Country of the festival.

The Georgian Embassy in the United Mexican States organized two exhibitions, Thousand Colors of Georgia and Past, Present and Future. On the same day, the journalist and photographer Badri Vadachkoria spoke to the online conference entitled Art of Photography in Georgia: Past, Present and Future.

Georgian filmmakers Nino Kirtadze and Dea Kulumbegashvili were among presenters at the online conference on April 25. Kirtadze delivered an online lecture – Directing Reality: the Fine Line Between Facts and Fiction, while Kulumbegashvili spoke about Georgian Cinema.

Marco Antonio Alfaro, the representative of the University Rectorate, Tamar Gamilaghdishvili, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of Georgia and the guests, spoke about the program of the festival and Invited Country – Georgia, as well as the main topic of the event.

The winners of the photo competition were awarded. Nino Kirtadze is the honorary representative of the jury at the documentary film competition.

The 10th Edition of FINI is themed around water. The Festival is organized by the Universidad Autónoma del Estado de Hidalgo. The events within the festival are being held virtually due to pandemic.
