Georgia reported 8,728 coronavirus cases, 8,545 recoveries, and 43 deaths on January 19, the official figures show.
63,605 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 33,350, tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 30,255 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 4,797 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 1,184 cases, and the Imereti region with 859 cases.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 13,72%, while 10,93% in the past week.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,015,592 among them, 943,212 people recovered and 14,555 died.
There are 43 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,386 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,896 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 1,000 critical patients, 280 require mechanical ventilation.
As of today, 2,632,527 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 9,340 in a day.
