Georgia reported 7,947 coronavirus cases, 5,550 recoveries, and 31 deaths on January 24, the official figures show.
35,082 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 20,608, tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 14,474 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 4,496 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Adjara region with 1,352 cases, and the Imereti region with 857 cases.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 22,65%, while 16,61% in the past week.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,059,392 among them, 967,585 people recovered and 14,732 died.
Currently, out of 987 critical patients, 273 require mechanical ventilation.
As of today, 2,658,343 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 1,550 in a day.
