Georgia reported 5,219 coronavirus cases, 2,348 recoveries, and 42 deaths on October 20, the official figures show.
57,301 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 36,635 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 20,666 were PCR tests.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 9,11%, while 9,02% in the past seven days.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,775 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 907 cases and the Kakheti region with 907 cases.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 675,771, among them, 619,285 people recovered and 9,588 died.
There are 48 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 5,679 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 1,003 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 1,300 critical patients, 269 require mechanical ventilation.
As of today, 1,926,893 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 5,543 in a day.
