Georgia reported 4,835 coronavirus cases, 13,840 recoveries, and 41 deaths on February 27, the official figures show.
26,252 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 12, 913 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 13,339 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 2,146 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 845 cases, and the Kakheti region with 442 cases.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 18,42%, while 22,64% in the past week.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,603,007 among them, 1,491,321 people recovered and 16,138 died.
There are four people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 1,245 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 449 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 1,066 critical patients, 282 require mechanical ventilation.
