Georgia reported 26,320 coronavirus cases, 9,555 recoveries, and 44 deaths on February 2, the official figures show.
84,658 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 59,912, tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 31,746 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 12,804 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 3,689 cases, and the Adjara region with 2,190 cases.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 31,09%, while 26,38% in the past week.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,226,444 among them, 1,030,065 people recovered and 15,060 died.
There are 34 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 5,522 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 2,041 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 1,062 critical patients, 263 require mechanical ventilation.
As of today, 2,730,067 people got the coronavirus vaccine, with 6,714 in a day.
