Georgia reported 2,465 coronavirus cases, 12,840 recoveries, and 25 deaths on February 28, the official figures show.
14,138 tests have been conducted in the past 24 hours throughout the country. Among them, 7,910 tests were rapid tests, while the remaining 6,228 were PCR tests.
Georgian capital Tbilisi recorded the highest number of 1,241 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 376 cases, and the Adjara region with 194 cases.
The daily test-positivity rate stands at 17,44%, while 22,06% in the past week.
Georgia’s total case tally reached 1,605,472 among them, 1,504,161 people recovered and 16,163 died.
There are four people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities, 4,595 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 417 asymptomatic, and mild symptom patients are being treated at government-assigned treatment facilities.
Currently, out of 1,046 critical patients, 278 require mechanical ventilation.
