Georgia records 2 501 coronavirus cases, 36 deaths, 3 988 recoveries
Georgia reported 2 501 coronavirus cases, 36 deaths, and 3 988 recoveries on Monday, announced Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council, at a press briefing at the Government Administration.
Georgia’s total case tally now stands at 164 976, among them 137 499 people recovered and 1 540 died.
As of today, 9 442 tests are performed in total, including 4 360 antigen-based and 5 082 PCR tests, noted Sichinava.
There are 1 267 people placed in government-assigned quarantine facilities. The official figures show, 6 963 Covid-19 patients are hospitalized, 3 744 asymptomatic and mild symptom patients are cured at government-assigned treatment facilities, 55 165 are self-isolating, and 15 204 undergo home treatment.
Georgian capital Tbilisi reported the highest number of 1 060 Covid-19 cases within the last 24 hours, followed by the Imereti region with 397 cases, and Adjara – 337 cases.
Currently, there are 1 135 critical patients, 417 among them require mechanical ventilation, the official stated.
