General online registration for primary school admissions closes tonight
The fourth phase of general online registration for primary school admissions for the 2026–2027 academic year, the first-graders’ registration, closes tonight at midnight.
According to the Ministry of Education, during this phase, parents and guardians can register their children at any public school of their choice across Georgia.
“The general online registration period for first-time primary school pupils has been active since June 15 via the Education Management Information System (EMIS) portal.
Following the closure of the online registration window, from July 6 to July 17 inclusive, parents or legal guardians must submit a formal application to their chosen public school. This application must be accompanied by copies of the parent or legal guardian’s proof of identity and the child’s birth certificate.
Failure to submit the required documentation within the stipulated deadline will result in the automatic cancellation of the registration.
The Education Management Information System urges parents and legal guardians to strictly adhere to the designated timeframes and complete the registration process before 24:00 tonight. Detailed guidelines are available on the official EMIS website and the admissions portal.
For further enquiries regarding the admissions process, the EMIS helpline can be contacted on (+995 32) 2 200 220, or via email at [email protected],” the official announcement stated.
