Payments in amount of GEL 1.67 billion carried out with Georgian cards abroad in January-September

Payment card transactions in the amount of GEL 1.67 billion were carried out using Georgian plastic bank cards abroad in January-September of the current year. The data has been published by the National Bank of Georgia.

Payment card transactions increased by 33.7 per cent compared to the previous year. The significant increase was recorded in July-September. In particular, the total volume of operations reached GEL 215 million in July, GEL 210.2 million in August and GEL 219.4 million in September.

Statistics include ATMs, pos-terminal, imprinters and online payments.
