GD’s Otar Grigolia: All radical groups pinning hopes on October 4 are UNM supporters

At the Tbilisi City Council session, Otar Grigolia, Chair of the Georgian Dream-Democratic Georgia faction, addressed the upcoming local self-government elections.

He extended his best wishes to the Georgian Dream candidates and responded to statements made by the opposition.

“I would like to wish success to all candidates. I note that the election period has been remarkably calm in essence. It appears that a peaceful election process is only achievable when the United National Movement chooses not to participate.

However, I must respond to Aleko Elisashvili’s claim that if Lelo wins, they will halt municipal work and compel city hall employees to strike. I have never encountered such absurdity in my political life. Sadly, they have adopted a caricatured approach. Our path is different; ours is a path of building and development.

I wish success to the Georgian Dream. I am confident we will secure victory in the local elections. To all those radical groups pinning their hopes on October 4, I want to emphasise that this date was planned and conceived by Levan Khabeishvili, the United National Movement, and Kezerashvili.

Anyone pinning hopes for this date is clearly and unequivocally an associate of the United National Movement, a supporter of their agenda, and part of their radical camp. Those who do not wish to be labelled as UNM addenda should refrain from participating in this process,” stated Otar Grigolia.
