GD's Kobakhidze says 'radical opposition' uses EC's recommendation for polarization

Ruling Georgian Dream (GD) Chair Irakli Kobakhidze says European Commission (EC)’s first recommendation is about depolarization, but “the radical opposition spares no effort to enhance the degree of polarization since the very beginning.”

GD Chair believes “the radical opposition longs for war in Georgia,” but “neither unrest nor war scenario will succeed.”

“I would like to remind you that the April 19 deal aimed at reducing polarization, but before its annulment, the opposition used it for polarization. Here too, the radical opposition uses EC’s conclusion for polarization. We expected this, we predicted it, and alluded to it many times.

They thought two countries [Ukraine and Moldova] would get the candidate status, while Georgia would not. Their ultimate point is the war in Georgia. No unrest or war scenario will succeed. We will be responsible for that,” he pledged.
