“We have the opportunity to protect our national identity, fully restore its state sovereignty and territorial integrity, align it among high-income countries and make it a member of the European Union before 2030,” said Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorable Chairman of the ruling Georgian Dream (GD) party.

According to Bidzina Ivanishvili, Georgia faces many challenges.

“The geopolitical situation around our country worsened and challenges increased. Therefore, the fulfilment of goals facing our country has become more difficult. Committing a small mistake by the government could cost much. Georgia’s national goals would be considered fulfilled, if we protect national identity, restore state sovereignty, unify the country and meet foreign policy goals which is integration into the European Union,” he said.

Ivanishvili remarked that he would be the chief advisor of his team. He said he believed that his political and life experience would benefit the GD party.

“Our motherland, our honorable and proud nation deserves only the best. It is the responsibility of each of us to spare no effort for the progress and success of Georgia. It was this responsibility that brought me back to politics,” he stated.
