Gakharia for Georgia's Parulava holds GD leaders responsible for possible suspension of visa-free travel for Georgian citizens

“The government links assessments of partners to state interests, though criticism is referred to the undemocratic steps,” said Giga Parulava, Chair of the Gakharia for Georgia’s parliamentary faction.

According to Parulava, the government’s steps have driven the country to the point when suspending visa-free travel for ordinary citizens is highly possible.

“This is a regrettable reality. The Dream portrays its anti-democratic steps as giving up sovereignty or blackmail. This is not true. Any criticism aims to return the country to democratic processes.

We believe that the restriction on visa-free travel will not refer to ordinary citizens, since the Georgian people do not deserve the suspension of visa-free travel. When the question is raised whether visa-free travel should be suspended, the responsibility for this lies with the Dream and its leaders for the undemocratic steps they have been taking for years,” he said.
