“Through peaceful protests and strong relationships with our Western partners, we will do everything we can to ensure that Ivanishvili loses both his wealth and influence, for which he has betrayed his own people and his country,” stated Teona Akubardia, the Gakharia for Georgia party member.

According to Akubardia, Bidzina Ivanishvili has successfully undermined Western support and halted the influx of financing that has historically contributed to the Georgian people’s welfare.

“Ivanishvili’s regime stands against the sovereignty and territorial integrity of our nation, which is currently threatened by Russian aggression. His power directly opposes the interests of the Georgian people. The choice of our citizens is clear: European integration and membership in the European community, not a retreat to Soviet Russia—precisely what Ivanishvili advocates.

Bidzina Ivanishvili has managed to sever the connections that secured Western support and funding for our nation’s welfare over the years. Thus, the source of our threats is clear: Ivanishvili’s regime.

This regime must be compelled—through both external support and internal movements—to call for new elections that will safeguard our country’s future and prevent it from being ruled by one man’s whims.

Our team firmly believes that Ivanishvili should lose his wealth and power due to his betrayal of our country and its Constitution. Ultimately, it is up to others to make this assessment. We will dedicate ourselves to ensuring that, through peaceful protests and active collaboration with our Western partners, Ivanishvili loses the resources and authority he has wielded at the expense of his own people and their country,” Teona Akubardia asserted.
