Gakharia for Georgia not interested in Opposition Alliance’s campaign

“The opposition extended the regime lifespan of the Georgian Dream and Bidzina Ivanishvili, which is regrettable but the reality,” said Tamar Kekenadze, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party.

According to Kekenadze, the State Security Service of Georgia best knows the ongoing processes in the Opposition Alliance.

“All those opposition forces, actors who called on citizens on October 4 not to vote in the elections, are unacceptable. We are not interested at all in what type of unity these forces will create or the scale of campaign they will conduct. If they were guided by state interests and wished to oust Bidzina Ivanishvili’s regime, they had a chance to participate in the local elections instead of urging people to boycott,” she said.

Kekenadze added that any relations with political organizations and civic activists, who called on people for boycotting elections, are unacceptable.

“They participated in a grace crime. They extended the regime lifespan of the Georgian Dream and Bidzina Ivanishvili, which is regrettable but the reality in the opposition,” she concluded.
