French FM: Georgian people with great perseverance expressed their European aspiration, It must be heard

French Foreign Minister Jean-Noël Barrot emphasized that the Georgian people have strongly expressed their aspirations for Europe, democracy, and freedom. “Their voices must be heard,” he stated.

“Finally, today we decide to suspend the visa exemption that applies to official diplomats of the Georgian government, whom we call upon once again, and with great firmness, to end the repression targeting protesters, journalists, and representatives of civil society organizations. The Georgian people have consistently and with great perseverance expressed their European aspiration, their aspiration for democracy and freedom. It must be heard,” Jean-Noël Barrot declared before the start of the EU foreign ministers’ meeting.
