Four people shot dead, one wounded in Rustavi

An armed individual killed four and wounded one person at the so-called Istanbul Market in Rustavi town in Kvemo Kartli, Georgia, eyewitnesses told the GPB’s First Channel reporter.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) confirmed the death of four people and hospitalization of a wounded, saying the law enforcers arrived at the scene shortly after the Public Security Management Center 112 received the notification about gunfire at the market.

The Ministry’s employees identified and apprehended a citizen born in 1988. The law enforcers further informed that the gunman’s uncle was among the killed, while his cousin was injured.

Law enforcers are proactively mobilized and taking all necessary measures.
