Four arrested as police seize large stash of class A drugs and psychotropics
Officers from the Central Criminal Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia (MIA) have arrested four individuals on charges of illegal purchase, possession, and facilitating the sale of exceptionally large quantities of narcotics and psychotropic substances.
According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, during searches of the suspects’ persons, vehicles, and residences, law enforcement officers seized an exceptionally large quantity of narcotics and psychotropic substances packaged and ready for sale as evidence. The seized haul includes: up to one kilogram of MDMA, approximately half a kilogram of “Alpha-PVP” and mephedrone, alongside cocaine, methadone, LSD, and ketamine.
As a result of the investigative operations, officers also recovered materials and paraphernalia used for packaging the narcotics.
The investigation is being conducted under Articles 260, 260 (IV), and 261 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which carry a penalty of up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
