Former deputy health minister imposed 500,000 GEL bail as preventive measure
Tbilisi City Court imposed a 500,000 GEL bail on former deputy health minister Ilia Ghudushauri as a preventive measure. Imprisonment bail means that Ilia Ghudushauri will be released from a penitentiary facility after paying the bail.
Also, at the request of the Prosecutor’s Office, Ghudushauri will be deprived of his ID card and passport.
Judge Nana Shamatava fully satisfied the Prosecutor’s Office motion. The defense and the defendant Ilia Ghudushauri agreed with the prosecutor’s motion.
Former deputy minister of IDPs, Labor, Health and Social Affairs, Ilia Ghudushauri, who also served as the ministry’s Procurement Tender Commission Chair, was arrested on charges of abuse of official duties by a state-political official under Part 2, Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. Ilia Ghudushauri admits his guilt.
