Foreign Ministry: EU leaders adopt document in support of Georgia, Moldova, Ukraine

The final document adopted at the meeting of leaders of the EU member countries speaks about the support of Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine in the EU enlargement context,” Georgian Foreign Ministry reported.

“The document mentions that the European Union will continue to support Georgia on its European path. It should be emphasized that the leaders of the EU member states in the final document talk about the readiness of the EU to work closely with all three countries – Ukraine, Moldova and Georgia, and help them in the process of reforms implementation on the European path,” the Foreign Ministry said.

EU leaders meet on 26 and 27 October 2023 in Brussels. The meeting was chaired by Charles Michel, President of the European Council. Over the course of a two-day summit, EU leaders discussed the unfolding situation in the Middle East, continued support for Ukraine in the face of Russia’s war of aggression, the EU’s long-term budget, the economy, migration and external relations.
