“I believe that Georgian Dream is not genuinely inclined to participate in such forums, as it is deliberately seeking to isolate Georgia,” MP Giorgi Sharashidze, a member of the Political Council of the Gakharia for Georgia party, told GPB First Channel.

Sharashidze commented on Georgia’s exclusion from the EU Enlargement Forum.

“We should ask Georgian Dream: have they left the EU any other avenue for Georgia to be invited to such an important forum? I doubt Georgian Dream is truly willing to attend, because its actions suggest an intent to isolate the country. Even if they are invited, I don’t think they will go. There have been instances where they refused to participate in European forums under absurd pretexts.

Georgian Dream is not committed to independence or sovereignty for the country, but rather for the party to continue its activities without regard for democratic norms, which ultimately serves their own interests rather than those of Georgia,” Giorgi Sharashidze stated.
