For Georgia's MP Parulava: UNM is red line for us, especially those bribed by GD; we will not consider joining Opposition Alliance
According to MP Giga Parulava, a member of the For Georgia faction, his party will not be joining the Opposition Alliance.
In a statement to journalists, Giga Parulava responded to Nika Gvaramia’s remarks, emphasising that, for them, the United National Movement represent a red line.
“Our red line is particularly the UNM bribed by Georgian Dream. Both Kobakhidze and Mdinaradze confirmed this, openly admitting on air how they planned and executed the October 4 events through agents they had planted. We are not interested in their agenda; they can mind their own business. We do not intend to consider joining the Opposition Alliance. The ‘bribed UNM’ are both old and new. Kobakhidze claimed that they had ‘assets’ as a form of infiltration. There is substantial evidence demonstrating how the State Security Service and Georgian Dream channel funds to agents both before and after elections. The evidence shows that, regrettably, they act in favour of Georgian Dream,” Parulava stated.
For context, Nika Gvaramia, one of the leaders of the Opposition Alliance, has expressed the view that parties such as Lelo–Strong Georgia and Gakharia for Georgia should be included in the Opposition Alliance.
