For Georgia's MP Parulava: Politicians should use common sense and avoid accusing their own country of being foreign agent on international stage
“When you accuse your own country of being an agent of a foreign nation, such behaviour is entirely unacceptable. When it comes to Georgia’s security, everyone, whether a politician or not, must exercise utmost caution,” said MP Giga Parulava, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party.
Parulava was asked to comment on an article published by the Washington Free Beacon, which was based on a report co-authored by Giorgi Kandelaki.
“The assessments we have heard are unacceptable to us. It is unthinkable to accuse one’s homeland of being an agent; this applies to this individual and others alike. Such assessments are unacceptable, whether intentional or unintentional. Especially for a politician, who should possess the common sense not to accuse their own state of being a foreign agent on an international platform,” Giga Parulava stated.
