For Georgia's Kekenadze: October 4 associated individuals should be held politically responsible, including so-called show viewers
“It is important that all those who in any way contributed to the provocation of the so-called October 4 coup attempt must be held accountable,” said Tamar Kekenadze, a member of the Gakharia for Georgia party.
“I don’t know if Bacho Akhalaia (former defence minister) organized the October overthrow plot. It is important that all those who in any way contributed to the provocation of the so-called October 4 coup attempt, foremostly the National Movement and its affiliated parties or individuals, must be held accountable. I speak about the political responsibility of those individuals who watched the show from outside, and I mean former president Salome Zourabichvili in this case.
Anyone who is somehow linked to the October 4 coup provocation should be held responsible, since these individuals have deprived Georgia of the opportunity of changing the government through peaceful protest. Due to the October 4 provocation, the ongoing peaceful protest in Georgia is discredited and it will require much effort to work with our partners, both inside and outside the country, to save the idea of peaceful protest in the country,” she said.
