“We have consistently stated—and reiterate it once more—that Georgia wholeheartedly supports Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity. The aggression that Ukraine has endured over the past three years deeply affects us,” declared Maka Botchorishvili, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, commenting on the ongoing crisis in Ukraine.

According to Botchorishvili, it is crucial to make maximum efforts to eliminate all threats to European security and to strive diligently for peace in the region.

The head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry emphasized that peace is a choice without alternatives, serving as a foundation for further development in Europe and fostering economic and political cooperation.

“It is vital to take proactive steps toward peace and to seek reconciliation rather than conflict and further escalation of the situation, which, unfortunately, is still unfolding in our ally Ukraine,” Botchorishvili added.
