FM regrets unfair attitude toward Georgia, vows commitment to development, stable future

“Our country does not deserve criticism and the attitude, which we have observed lately,” Georgian Minister of Foreign Affairs Maka Botchorishvili told reporters.

According to the FM, the Georgian government is committed to the path as required for the country’s development, stable future and security.

“Facts speak very well about everything, time illustrates and it is time that will lead us to the truth. Our country does not deserve the criticism we often hear and the attitude that we have observed lately. Despite all this, we are committed to the path as required for the country’s development, stable future and security. I am convinced this is needed for European security, that a developed, peaceful and stable Georgia in the region is in the interests of Europe, that Georgia contributed to the overall European future,” she said.

EU Ambassador to Georgia Paweł Herczyński said that both Ukraine and Moldova were much ahead of Georgia on the EU accession path when remarking on th EC’s latest EU enlargement report.
