FM: PM’s meetings to focus on trade, economic relations and issues high on Georgia’s development agenda
“The international forum dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Turkmenistan’s neutrality is a good opportunity to hold meetings with leaders of regional countries with whom we have close bilateral relations,” Georgia’s Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili told journalists in Turkmenistan.
According to Maka Botchorishvili, a meeting has already taken place between Georgia’s Prime Minister and Azerbaijan’s Prime Minister.
“We have a very important bilateral agenda with this country, and matters concerning our political and economic relations must be discussed at the highest level. Azerbaijan is a vital partner for Georgia. These close ties require daily political dialogue at the highest level.
There will also be an opportunity for meetings with other leaders, with Central Asian countries, which is also necessary and important for Georgia, particularly for utilising our country’s transit potential. Within the framework of these meetings, first and foremost, discussion will focus on those trade and economic relations and topics that are actively on the agenda of Georgia’s economic development,” stated Maka Botchorishvili.
