FM meets with Hungary’s Peter Szijjártó at UNGA

On 23 September, on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili held talks with Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Trade Peter Szijjártó.

According to the Foreign Ministry, the ministers examined current issues in bilateral relations and close cooperation, which is characterised by a strategic partnership.

The discussions also covered Georgia’s relations with the European Union and matters related to the country’s European integration process. Maka Botchorishvili expressed gratitude to her Hungarian counterpart for Hungary’s support of Georgia’s European aspirations, both at the political level and through practical, expert cooperation. The parties agreed to continue working together in this regard and highlighted the importance of maintaining active, high-level visits and further developing sectoral collaboration.
