“Today’s meeting has once again reaffirmed the exceptional importance of the Georgia–Azerbaijan–Türkiye partnership, the strength of our alliance, and its significant potential for future development,” Georgia’s Minister of Foreign Affairs, Maka Botchorishvili, announced at a press conference in Istanbul.

Speaking at a joint press conference alongside her Turkish and Azerbaijani counterparts, Botchorishvili emphasised that Georgia will continue to play a vital role in ensuring regional peace.

She also announced that Tbilisi will play host to the next trilateral ministerial meeting.

“Particular importance is attached to the Black Sea submarine electricity cable project, which will help strengthen the energy security of the Black Sea region and Europe, while creating interregional opportunities. We also discussed security across various sectors of our trilateral cooperation and the potential for implementing new initiatives. There is strong political will to deepen our partnership even further and translate it into more tangible outcomes.

In conclusion, I would like to note that today’s meeting has once again reaffirmed the exceptional importance of the Georgia–Azerbaijan–Türkiye partnership, the strength of our alliance, and its significant potential for future development. I am confident that the close partnership between our nations will continue to make a vital contribution to strengthening peace, stability, connectivity, and economic development in the region. Georgia will remain a reliable partner and will actively pursue further efforts to deepen cooperation based on shared interests. We have agreed that Georgia will host our next meeting,” Botchorishvili stated.
