Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili commended the Greek Parliament’s recent vote on the Mutual Recognition and Exchange of National Driving Licenses between Georgia and the Hellenic Republic. She characterized this decision as a positive development that would benefit Georgian citizens, residing in Greece.
The Foreign Minister highlighted that the agreement reflects a constructive agenda between Georgia and Greece.
“The Greek Parliament’s decision regarding the Mutual Recognition and Exchange of National Driving Licenses is significant, particularly for Georgian citizens who live or work in Greece. By allowing them to exchange their driving licenses without the need for exams, this agreement will facilitate their employment opportunities in Greece, should they choose to pursue them. The relationship between our two countries must foster positive decisions on various issues,” she stated.
On April 8, 2025, the Greek Parliament approved the agreement titled “On the Mutual Recognition and Exchange of National Driving Licenses between Georgia and the Hellenic Republic” by a majority vote, as reported by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia.
