FM: Georgia and China PMs to meet in Shanghai, signalling strengthened bilateral relations

“A meeting of the prime ministers will take place as part of the visit, which is of political importance for discussing a range of issues and further strengthening the relations between our two countries,” Georgia’s Foreign Minister, Maka Botchorishvili, highlighted the significance of the Prime Minister’s upcoming visit to China.

The Foreign Minister added that several agreements on cooperation across various fields are expected to be signed during the visit.

“The Prime Minister’s visit to China includes participation in an exhibition in Shanghai, where Georgia will be honoured as a guest. This presents a wonderful opportunity to reinforce and deepen economic ties between Georgia and China. The summit of the prime ministers will occur within the framework of this exhibition, providing a crucial platform for dialogue on various issues and the enhancement of bilateral relations. Several accords on cooperation across multiple sectors will be signed, paving the way for closer economic integration. Overall, this visit offers a valuable chance to foster stronger economic bonds between our nations,” Botchorishvili noted.
