The role of the Holy See which has always played a special role in spreading European values and knowledge in Georgia, was stressed at the meeting.

Maka Botchorishvili thanked the Holy See for its unwavering support of Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity.

The Georgian Foreign Minister discussed the situation in Georgia’s occupied regions and the importance of the Geneva International Discussions.

The conversation also covered ongoing processes in Georgia and the security environment in the region, as well as Georgia’s integration into the European Union.

The Minister inquired about Pope Francis’s health condition, emphasized his significant contribution and role in ensuring peace in the world, and wished him recovery.
