FM: Antalya Diplomatic Forum is vital platform for bilateral engagement
“The Antalya Diplomatic Forum is a significant platform and an excellent opportunity for bilateral meetings with our partners to discuss various critical issues,” Georgian Foreign Minister Maka Botchorishvili told journalists in Turkiye.
The Foreign Minister noted that today, the Prime Minister had the chance to participate in the main panel of the conference.
“The Prime Minister had the opportunity to engage in the main panel today alongside other leaders. Additionally, this forum provides a valuable setting for our partners and us to address a range of pressing issues concerning Georgia, including ongoing regional developments and Georgia’s positioning within these processes,” said Maka Botchorishvili.
According to the head of the diplomatic mission, the Georgian government capitalizes on every forum and opportunity to advocate for issues relevant to the nation and the challenges that shape the country’s priorities.
“Among these priorities are our aspirations for integration into the European Union and strengthening relations with EU member states. We also address the recent perspectives expressed by certain EU member states, as well as some politicians and bureaucrats in Brussels. This remains a frequent topic of discussion because Georgia truly deserves respect. The will of the Georgian people must be honoured, as this is the cornerstone of democracy. It is imperative to respect the choices made by the people, the government they have elected, and the policies the government pursues,” asserted Maka Botchorishvili.
