Tamar Bagrationi, First Lady of Georgia, alongside Deputy Minister of Education, Science and Youth Baia Kvitsiani and singer Liza Bagrationi, paid a visit to the National Screening Centre.
During their visit, the guests were briefed on the centre’s operations and had the opportunity to undergo complimentary cancer screening tests as part of a national initiative. Eter Kiguradze, Director of the National Screening Centre, welcomed them and provided detailed information about the services offered, the medical equipment in use, and future development plans.
“I recently underwent cancer screening funded by the state at the National Screening Centre. Initially, I felt a little apprehensive and anxious, but the welcoming environment, along with the professionalism and care of the medical staff, quickly alleviated those feelings. I want to emphasise that the process is straightforward and entirely safe, thanks to the centre’s modern, high-tech equipment. I would also like to make a heartfelt appeal to women: don’t forget to prioritise yourselves. We often prioritise our families and caring for others, but your health is the essential foundation of their peace and happiness. Take advantage of this free cancer screening service, funded by the government. Don’t delay seeking care; early detection can mean the difference between life and death. Remember, your health is priceless,” said Tamar Bagrationi.
In response, Eter Kiguradze highlighted the importance of such visits in setting a personal example for the community and emphasised the centre’s commitment to accessible, safe, and comfortable cancer screening.
“The National Screening Centre works tirelessly every day to ensure that cancer screening is as accessible, safe, and comfortable as possible, providing the public with high-standard medical services. I once again urge everyone to take advantage of this opportunity. Cancer screening remains one of the most effective measures to safeguard your health. Early diagnosis can save lives,” stated the Centre’s Director.
