Finance Minister, NBG President hold concluding meeting with IMF mission
Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili and President of the National Bank of Georgia (NBG) Natia Turnava held a concluding meeting with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) mission delegation, led by Alejandro Hajdenberg.
According to the Finance Ministry, fiscal and monetary policy issues, the current situation in the country and Medium-term forecasts were reviewed during the meeting.
“The mission emphasised Georgia’s high economic growth dynamics, the reduction in unemployment and the country’s stable macroeconomic indicators.
The mission also welcomed the government’s initiative of state-owned enterprises reform, boosting the financial supervisory function. The meeting participants touched on the IMF negotiations (Article IV), which are scheduled for March 2026.
Deputy Finance Ministers Giorgi Kakauridze and Ekaterine Guntsadze, NBG Vice Presidents Ekaterine Mikabadze and Ekaterine Galdava and Deputy Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development Vakhtang Tsintsadze attended the meeting.
