Finance Minister meets with AIIB President at 10th jubilee conference

Georgian Finance Minister Lasha Khutsishvili participated in the 10th-anniversary meeting of the Asian Infrastructure Investment Bank (AIIB), hosted by China.

Minister Khutsishvili held a bilateral meeting with AIIB President, Jin Liqun, on the sidelines of the event. Deputy Minister Ekaterine Guntsadze also attended the discussions.

The officials discussed prospects for bilateral cooperation, the implementation of ongoing funded projects, and future strategic plans. Khutsishvili briefed Jin Liqun on Georgia’s economic growth trends and mid-term outlook. Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to continuing collaboration to promote sustainable development in Georgia.

Currently, the AIIB’s credit portfolio in Georgia amounts to approximately USD 550 million.
