“Changes submitted to the Central Election Commission acknowledge at least one form of fraud: failing to ask voters for their ID cards. Today, they adopted a change that legalizes this fraud or permits carousel voting,” former President Salome Zourabichvili stated at a briefing.
She urged the Resistance Platform to prepare an “army” of election observers. Zourabichvili emphasized that the changes reflect anxiety over the upcoming elections.
“The changes indicate that they are anxious and preparing for elections. Those who remain sceptical that they will be forced to appoint new parliamentary elections at some point just watch what they are doing.
They recognize the inevitability of new elections and seek additional security, but they will not succeed. For the Resistance Platform, this is a clear signal that we must be ready, and this means that we should have an army of election observers prepared. We need to start preparations today, and everyone should be involved,” she said.
