Ex-President Saakashvili: As Nepalese child's father, I follow events; no post-revolutionary unrest in Georgia
“The overthrow of the government in Nepal was followed by unrest because everyone there, including opposition politicians, was discredited,” wrote former Georgian President Mikheil Saakashvili on social media.
According to Saakashvili, there will be no post-revolutionary unrest in Georgia.
“As the father of a Nepalese child, my Nikusha is temporarily living in Nepal, and I continue to follow the events unfolding there. The chaos that followed Nepal’s government’s fall was caused precisely because everyone involved, including opposition politicians, was discredited. The same reason is being exploited here by the Russian criminal syndicate, which has declared war on the Georgian people. Fortunately, they did not succeed.
They have completely discredited themselves, yet the politicians who refuse to play by their rules now enjoy greater support than ever. That is why Khabe [UNM’s Levan Khabeishvili] and others have been incarcerated.
Rest assured, there will be no post-revolutionary unrest here. We know how to act swiftly to restore democracy and eliminate all provocations once the Kotsis [Georgian Dream supporters] are gone,” Saakashvili wrote.
