Ex-Finance Minister Machavariani is being questioned in case of Chorchana checkpoint opening

Former Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani is being questioned at the Prosecutor’s Office as part of an investigation into the opening of a checkpoint in the village of Chorchana.

Speaking to journalists before entering the investigative agency, Machavariani said he was unaware of what questions might be posed to him.

Ivane Machavariani served as Finance Minister and Deputy Prime Minister between 2018 and 2021.
