“The phone conversation between Emmanuel Macron and Bidzina Ivanishvili serves as one of the best responses to the turmoil we are witnessing from the opposition,” stated Levan Makhashvili, Chair of the Parliamentary European Integration Committee.

Levan Makhashvili expressed hope that such discussions could foster continued relations grounded in mutual respect.

“Naturally, we welcome this businesslike, contextual, and results-oriented phone call. Both sides thoroughly examined all pressing issues, including ongoing developments in Georgia. Engaging in dialogue at this level is appropriate. We anticipate that the initiatives we have implemented will yield positive outcomes, enabling our parliament to function peacefully.

This phone call will help sustain relations based on mutual respect, ultimately bringing an end to the current chaos. I believe this will not be the last communication; rather, the process has only just begun. The public will see that the government, through this call and other efforts, is committed to restoring normalcy to our society,” he remarked.

At the initiative of French President Emmanuel Macron, a phone conversation took place between him and Bidzina Ivanishvili, Honorary Chair of the Georgian Dream party, as reported by GD.

According to the GD Press Service, President Macron expressed his concern regarding recent developments in Georgia and conveyed his willingness to assist in resolving the situation.

Bidzina Ivanishvili thanked the French President for his initiative and welcomed the notion of a collaborative effort.

Both leaders agreed to maintain communication in the coming days to assess the situation’s progress.
