“We do not anticipate the imposition of personal sanctions from the European Union,” stated Levan Makhashvili, the parliamentary European Integration Committee Chair, during an interview with GPB’s First Channel.

Makhashvili emphasized that the government’s primary focus is on ensuring peace and fostering economic development within the country.

“We do not expect the EU to impose personal sanctions, nor are we concerned with who may impose such sanctions in the future.

Our main priority is to ensure peace and economic growth. Decisions regarding political sanctions are not our concern. Rather than burning bridges, we want to build them, yet we see attempts to coerce and manipulate,” Makhashvili remarked.
