EU in Georgia hopes Georgian state flag to be part of European family 

European Union in Georgia congratulates the people of Georgia on State Flag Day.

“On Georgian Flag Day, we are reminded of Georgia’s rich history and the resolve of its people.

We hope this flag will be part of the European family one day.

Let the Georgian flag always fly high!” it wrote on Facebook.

January 14 marks Georgia’s State Flag Day. Georgia has celebrated State Flag Day since 2012.
