EU Ambassador to Georgia, Carl Hartzell, commented on the weeks of deadlock in the negotiations between the ruling team and the opposition.
“We are today involved, but I think it is important after so many weeks now of a basically deadlocked position between the sides, and also for us, to think about whether our role, the format of the dialogue will be useful in the coming days and weeks. So this is the reflection we have to do, and we will do this together with all the sides,” Carl Hartzell told journalists at the parliament.
Ambassador believes an abstention to revoke opposition mandates by the Georgian parliament is a precondition to keep the negotiations.
